Report is coming soon…
I had time for a short day trip today so went up north and east, hoping to catch some fall colours.
With the kids back in school and a break at work I had a chance to head east. I had never been further east than Sherbrooke and decided to see Quebec City then Gaspé, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Maine.
I finally managed to complete the Bun Burner Gold endurance ride on this trip. It was my third attempt. In 2005 I had tried doing one in the northeastern US and Canada but ran into some huge traffic and weather problems, and a severe headache. Later that year I tried the Toronto to Miami route, but ran out of energy around Daytona and bailed out.
I also attended my first Concours Owners Group (COG) Rally held this year in Hill City, South Dakota. Excellent roads in the area.
To finish it off I rode the entire length of Highway 11 (Yonge Street) from Rainy River to Toronto, Ontario. Desolate in some northern areas, but a fabulous ride.
